After the show me & Tyler started talking and he said, " In high school I think you thought you knew what working hard was, but I think now your finally seeing what working hard truly looks like." And I said I totally agreed with him. When you see someone that is really fit many thoughts may race through your head, but one of the many is ." That person just makes it look so easy." I think sometimes people assume that things are easy, but chances are a person that is really in shape has been on a journey to get where they are at the present time & it took a lot of hard work and determination. Sometimes in the gym some of the ladies will say to me they are glad I'm there because I help push them when I work hard and others say you just make it look so easy. But do you want to know the truth... It's NOT! haha Working out in such a mind game and every time I have to really focus on what Im doing so that I don't hear my body say QUIT.. Im tired.. That hurts!
Some of the hardest things in life are the most rewarding
Tyler then went on and asked me, "If you weren't working out with my dad(Rick Morrow Fitness) do you think you could push yourself in the same way that you are pushing yourself in his classes?" I answered back yes, but I know that it would be a challenge. I think its easy to get stuck in a routine in the gym where you just go to some of your favorite machines, maybe run 10 minutes or so on the treadmill, then if your really feeling it hit the elipitical for awhile at a n ice comfortable speed and if your feelings motivated add a few abs inthe mix before you go home. I am guilty of that in the past. And while its better than nothing you will never see any gains. If you want to see results you HAVE to work hard.
We can't all have everything that is offered on the Biggest Loser ranch like the best equipment, health physicians, nutritional guidance, amazing trainers,no outside distractions,no jobs, people who are in similar situations for support.. the list goes on. That would be really nice, but at some point people on the Biggest Loser have to go home, face life again and learn how to apply all the knowledge that they gained in their everyday life. So don't believe the lie that you can't have the body you want anymore, choose to be healthy for you!
Be the best you, not an imitation of someone else.
