" Jesus Calling," by Sarah Young...

is the name of the devotional that I am reading right now- which I absolutely love!! I thought I'd share the devotional that was for today since it really encouraged me and hopefully it will do the same for you : )

I am with you and for you. When you decide on a course of action that is in line with My will, nothing in heaven or on earth can stop you. You may encounter many obstacles as you move toward your goal, but don't be discouraged- never give up! With My help, you can overcome any obstacle. Do not expect an easy path as you journey hand in hand with Me, but do remember that I am your helper.

Much, much stress results from your wanting to make things happen before their times have come. One of the main ways I assert My sovereignty is in the timing of events. If you want to stay close to me and do things My way, ask me to show you the path forward moment by moment. Instead of dashing headlong toward your goal, let Me set the pace. Slow down, and enjoy the journey in My presence.

Romans 8:31, Psalm 46:1-3, Luke 1:37

And while I'm here I thought I should let you know that it is sooooo gorgeous outside! It feels like a beautiful spring day so go out and get a walk or run in. Who needs to run on the treadmill when you can run outside comfortably in the middle of January!?!

Don't forget your shades, it's sunny!!

Who wants to kick their own butt??

I set a goal for myself this week to get 5 workouts in. I got 4 down, 1 to go...

it's Sunday...

which means I want to be lazy...

which also means today is my last chance to get my fifth workout in...

I was perfectly happy sitting on the couch sipping tea & relaxing until Tyler said he was going to go get a workout in. Guess my relaxation was over- couldn't use any excuses now. Whenever Tyler and I workout together we usually just start together with a warm up of some kind and abs, then we do our own separate workout. I thought I'd share with you what I did for my cardio today so you could try it out and see if it kicked your butt like it did mine!

  • Start on 1% incline for 1 minute
  • You then continue this same pattern all the way up to 15% incline
  • My speed was 4.5, but you could go up or down depending on what feels good for you.
  • After the treadmill, I then did 4 minutes of the rope machine on level 2 at a fast  pace
*If you don't have access to a rope machine try a row machine as an alternative

    Enjoy!!
